About the Project

ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition changes lives, neighborhoods, and communities. Dolese is proud to “Get on the Bus” and partner with Ideal Homes in the Oklahoma City area project by donating the masonry products, concrete, and aggregates necessary to help transform the Skaggs Family residence in Lexington, Oklahoma.

Masonry
Ideal Homes turned to Dolese when they needed a partner they could rely on for high-quality masonry products such as decorative stone veneer, pavers, and mortar mix to complete the Extreme Makeover Home Edition project. Dolese offers these products, as well as structural block, architectural block, retaining wall systems, and outdoor fireplace components at two Oklahoma production facilities and at our Oklahoma City Warehouse on Reno Avenue.

To help complete Dolese’s masonry-related portion of the Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Ideal Homes also asked us to refer several qualified masonry contractors who would be willing to pitch in and help this great cause. Dolese would like to thank the following partners who collectively donated 28 people to help get this job done and assist this deserving family:
  • Al Slattery Masonry
  • Gallian Masonry
  • Elite Masonry
  • K & K Masonry
  • Prestige Masonry
  • PLH Enterprises
  • Custom Rock and Stone
We are truly impressed by the generosity of our customers pulling together to make this happen and we greatly appreciate their efforts.

At Dolese, "a symbol of quality - a symbol of service" is more than just our motto.

Concrete
As the premier concrete producer in central Oklahoma, residential construction has always been a major focus for Dolese. When we were approached by Ideal Homes, it was a great opportunity to help make a difference to a deserving family. Ideal Homes wanted a partner who could deliver quality concrete that would perform in adverse weather conditions and in a compressed time schedule. Dolese specially designed a mix to set up in just a few short hours and gain strength at an accelerated rate so framing could begin quickly.

The same engineering and expertise that goes into Dolese concrete for buildings, athletic stadiums, wind farms, and bridges was used to design the concrete for this house. Steps to ensure the quality of the Dolese concrete included testing of each material by our quality control department, and application of an accelerating admixture at the jobsite by one of our ACI certified lab technicians. The end result was a concrete mix that achieved a high early strength to allow the construction process to continue.

Aggregate
Being one of the largest producers of crushed stone and sand in the United States, Dolese was in the position to donate the aggregates that were used in the concrete, as well as the materials that were used to provide access to the jobsite during construction, and in the end, be the driveway for this Extreme Home Makeover family.

Dolese is proud to come together with the Extreme Makeover Home Edition crew, Ideal Homes, the other partners, and the many volunteers to “pay it forward” and help impact the community in such a positive way.
